It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, a 1951 holiday song, was covered by Taehyung of BTS and released as a surprise on Soundcloud and YouTube on December 24 KST. The video for the song which is uploaded on YouTube shows Taehyung singing the song while dressed in an oversized hoodie.

V enthusiastically sings the lyrics to “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” during the performance, adding little fist pumps to the phrases. He takes up his pet dog Yeontan and cuddles with it after that, and the dog licks his nose.

Meredith Wilson wrote the traditional Christmas song “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas” in 1951. Numerous musicians have covered it throughout the years, including Bing Crosby, Michael Bublé, Meghan Trainor, and many more, among them.

V has given his followers a Christmas song for the past two years in a row. V recorded a solo track last year called “Christmas Tree,” which helped him reach his first solo number one on the Emerging Artists list and make his Billboard Hot 100 debut at position 79. It also debuted at position 55 on the Holiday 100 list.

The video for the cover song quickly rose up the ranks in the YouTube Global Trending Music Videos’ List, and currently, the video is trending #1 Worldwide. The video is in the YouTube trends list if 36 countires.

The launch of this cover marks the conclusion of a difficult year for BTS and its followers. While BTS continued to perform and release new songs throughout the year, it was also revealed that the group would be taking a break to allow its members to fulfil the country of South Korea’s required military duty.

V also hopes to spread some holiday happiness to his fans with the release of “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas.” This release also minimizes the fact that, despite prior clues regarding its release date, his debut solo album was not released this year.
