According to Big Hit Music, Suga, a member of the K-Pop superstar BTS, will debut his own chat show, “Suchwita,” on YouTube and Weverse the following Monday.
Suga will welcome celebrities for drinks and discussions about music and other topics on his talk show, Suchwita, which is short for “time to get drunk with Suga” in Korean.
“Suga, who is witty with his words, is expected to carry out in-depth talks with his guests and bring out the best in them,” Big Hit Music said in a statement.
On BTS’ official social media on Monday, Suga shared a teaser film for Suchwita that appeared to be a tribute to the music video for his solo single, “Daechwita.”
Suga’s solo career began in August 2016 with the release of his debut album, “Agust D.” Suga released his second mixtape, “D-2,” four years later.
Since then, Suga has collaborated with American singer-songwriter Halsey as well as other Korean musicians, such as K-pop sensation IU and soulful veteran vocalist Lee So-ra.
Most recently, “That That,” the lead song from the “Gangnam Style” singer’s ninth full-length album – a collaboration between Suga and Psy, reached several local and international music charts, including Billboard’s main singles list.
It will be delightful to watch Suga in his own talk show with such a premise given his extensive knowledge and ideas about booze and beverages in general.
Even if his face is partially or completely hidden in the teaser, it won’t take long for fans to figure out who the very first guest is. Yes, as we can all see, it is none other than RM, a.k.a. Kim Namjoon, the leader and fellow band member. They shared a great deal of memories because they had been friends for more than 12 years. We can’t wait to see them unwind and tell stories. The show’s debut episode will air on December 5 at 10 p.m. KST.
