Despite getting Emmy snubbed as the lead actress in the lead actress nomination, she became the first-ever Latin producer after Salma Hayek to get nominated for being the executive producer of Only murders in the building. In the year 2007, Salma Hayek was nominated for executive producing a series named “Ugly Betty”.

Her co-actors Steve Martin & Martin Short are nominated for Actor in the lead role in a comedy series at the Emmys. The Only Murders in the Building actor Steve Martin said, that they were “thrilled” at the nominations not just for themselves but also for the show.

He further added, ” We’re dismayed that Selena was not nominated because she’s so crucial to our performances, really.”

Martin Short said, ” She is nominated as an executive producer.” Not just the actors of the fan-favorite series but also executive producer John Hoffman shared his thoughts as well about the same.
