Steve Austin Reportedly Plans To Return To The WWE For WrestleMania 39

Steve Austin reportedly plans to return to the WWE for WrestleMania 39. Some people don’t believe it makes sense for both legends to compete in important contests at The Show of Shows. On his To Be The Man podcast, two-time WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair discussed The Rock and Austin’s potential comebacks and said he didn’t believe either of them should return to the ring.

The Great One “never stops” and “looks like a million bucks,” the Nature Boy did concede. According to Flair, the money from such a significant role at WrestleMania was not something The Rock or Steve Austin required. The Great One shouldn’t lose in his hometown, he added, which is what would probably happen if he faced Roman Reigns. “If Steve is motivated to do it, he will.” “I don’t see The Rock doing a favour, and why would he if he didn’t need the money in the first place?” Ric Flair said.

Stone Cold vs Roman Reigns

Conrad Thompson, Flair’s co-host, outlined how the famous actor would be doing his relative “a service.” Reigns didn’t require it, and the WWE legend responded accordingly. The return of Steve Austin, according to Flair, “seems more likely.” Stone Cold would need to prepare for a bout against Roman Reigns, which is a different circumstance than his WrestleMania 38 main event encounter against Kevin Owens, according to The Nature Boy.

The WWE Royal Rumble is the first stop on the road to Wrestlemania, and it appears that there is a lot of excitement, as seen by the ticket sales. The Alamodome has officially sold more than 40,000 tickets, claims WrestleTix on Twitter. The most recent update they made available to the public on January 17 lists the number of Royal Rumble tickets still available.

However, as WrestleTix has noted on their Patreon, WWE has surpassed the 40,000 ticket mark. They note that there are currently 2,728 tickets available for resale, with the total number of tickets distributed standing at 40,699 at this time. The Royal Rumble Premium Live Event typically does not feature a large number of matches due to having two different Royal Rumble matches (one for the men and one for the women).
