Stars Honor Chadwick Boseman On What Would Have Been His 44th Birthday

Chadwick Boseman is still in the hearts of everyone as his friends and co-stars remember him as they celebrate what would have been the late actor’s 44th birthday.

The actor’s closest group is still mourning after his unfortunate death in August. He was fighting colon cancer privately since four-years. Fans and family paid tribute as they reflected on his wonderful life.

Chadwick’s Black Panther co-star, Michael B. Jordan paid tribute to his close friend in a heartfelt message. He took to social media to post a black and white picture of the two of them. The actor wrote hoping that his friend continues watching over all of us as he called him a King. He wished him a happy birthday and wrote that he misses him.

“Continue watching over us King. Happy Birthday. Miss you,” Michael captioned the sweet snapshot. Meanwhile, Lupita Nyong’o also shared a photo on social media with her and Chadwick smiling widely. She wrote that he is deeply and sorely missed.

Another one of Chadwick’s co-stars from Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Viola Davis also paid tribute to the actor. She shared a gif of the actor who was wearing a tuxedo as he was being showered with gold confetti at a celebration. “Happy birthday in Heaven, Chadwick! You are still so alive to me!! I love you ????????” Viola wrote.

His other co-stars including Mark Ruffalo who posted a video from the sets of Black Panther where the cast and crew were singing him a happy birthday. He wrote how he is thinking of the late actor’s passion, love and light. The Avengers actor wished Chadwick and wished to time travel back to the moment in the video.

Black Panther Co-Star Reflects On How Filming Without Him Is Strange

Letitia Wright revealed back in October that she will miss Chadwick Boseman like the rest of us on the set of Black Panther. She also reflected on how it would feel like without the late actor.

The actress who considers Chadwick her “brother” is still heartbroken from the loss. She revealed how she feels it is too soon to be talking about the future of the Black Panther series.

After the heart-wrenching death of Chadwick in August because of stage IV colon cancer, the actress thinks it is too soon to discuss further plans. She revealed still mourning for Chadwick. The actress said it is not something she wants to think about.

Letitia explained, “The thought of doing it without him is kinda strange. We’re just grieving at the moment, so it’s trying to find the light in the midst of it.” She did not reveal how the iconic MCU franchise is going to incorporate the absence of King T’Challa.

The actress is not keen on discussing the sequel because of where the film stands at the moment without Chadwick. Disney was still trying to figure out how to proceed further with the hit Marvel franchise after the loss of the superhero.

One potential aspect is replacing the actor, which seems nearly impossible to do. They also fear that doing that would spark an immense backlash from fans. Another potential aspect, which fans also agree with, is that Shuri, played by Letitia, should become the next Black Panther.

The Future Of Black Panther Remains Unknown

Letitia had shared a heartfelt letter that she wrote in remembrance of the iconic actor and her on-screen brother. She wrote, “God told me that you were my brother and that I am to love you as such, and I always did, and I always will.”

Black Panther 2 was set to release in 2022, before Chadwick’s death. Letitia has taken on wonderful roles herself and by the time fans are waiting for an update from Marvel, they can switch to watching the actress’s projects.

Other close friends and co-stars also paid tribute to the brilliant actor.
