Star Arrow Stephen Amell Reacts To The First Look Image Of Marvel’s Hawkeye

Stephen Amell, star of The CW’s Arrow, reacted to Marvel’s first look at their new original series Hawkeye on social media. Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Amell’s character in the superhero series, is an archer like Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner.

For the time being, Amell’s career as a DC superhero has come to an end, with Arrow’s final episode premiering on January 28, 2020. Hawkeye will be Marvel’s next live-action original series, following the success of WandaVision, Loki, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier earlier this year.

The Disney+ show will follow Clint Barton and Kate Bishop as the former Avenger prepares Bishop to be his successor after Avengers: Endgame. Kate is played by Hailee Steinfeld, and her mother is played by Vera Farmiga. Florence Pugh will reprise her role as Black Widow in the upcoming film.

As the MCU enters Phase 4 with a host of new characters, both Pugh and Steinfeld are prepared to carry on the legacy of the past Avengers. This comes after Scarlett Johansson‘s Natasha Romanoff and Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark died, as well as Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers’ retirement.

Announcement of Hawkeye‘s Release

With Hawkeye’s premiere approaching, Amell took to Twitter to respond to the first look at the Marvel series. Marvel’s announcement of Hawkeye’s release date, as well as the image of Kate and Clint, was retweeted by Amell.

Renner and Steinfeld are shown facing each other in the photo, with Kate Bishop carrying a bow in her left hand. Amell, who portrayed an archer for over nine seasons, applauded the presence on film of another left-handed archer.

With many of the original Avengers having died or passed away in other ways, Marvel is preparing for a new generation of superheroes to take up the mantle, and many fans have expressed their support for the actors who will be taking over.

This real-life DC/Marvel crossover also includes the MCU’s multiverse and various histories, which were first established in Loki. It will also serve as the focus point for Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, and Tom Hiddleston in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness film.

Hawkeye will almost probably reveal further indications about the MCU’s future, making the upcoming series all the more exciting.
