The second wave of COVID-19 has affected the entertainment industry to a large extent.
While we are seeing delays for many movie biggies due to the pandemic, it has also led to the postponement of the shooting of many films including Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan.
With new restrictions imposed by the Maharashtra government, FWICE General Secretary Ashok Dubey has indicated that the planned production and direction of these films has been suspended.
He told the TOI, “There were three big sets that were under construction including Pathan which was being built on the helipad of Film city that involved the shooting of John Abraham and Shah Rukh Khan. Then there was the Brahmastra set and Vikram Motwane’s Andolan Pictures’ set that was also under construction.
Each set had about 250 members from the setting department working every day and the work was supposed to go on for a month but this new lockdown will hit their livelihood.”

Speaking of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan, it also puts John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in an important role. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand and will hit screens in 2022. Produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming movie Pathan will see the musical duo Vishal and Shekhar working together once again with Shahrukh.
Referring to Rambir Kapoor’s Brahmastra, the film also casts Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna Akkineni, with a special cameo made by Shah Rukh Khan.
Made on a large budget, the film is the first part of the trilogy, and we look forward to seeing the lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor, with great superpowers.
Mouni Roy is playing the lead antagonist in Brahmastra. It will be a treat for her fans to watch the actress in an out-and-out negative avatar. The crackling chemistry between Ranbir and Alia is also expected to be one of the highlights in the film.
