Television actress Shikha Singh, who is a part of the daily soap Kumkum Bhagya, has given birth to a baby girl!
Amid this lockdown, a happy news has arrived in actress Shikha Singh’s family. She has welcomed a new member in her family as she has given birth to a baby girl. You might recall her as Aaliya from the popular daily soap Kumkum Bhagya.
Both, Shikha and her husband Karan Shah, are elated to have their daughter. The couple has named her Alayna, a name which they decided on their last vacation to Maldives.
In a conversation with Times Of India, the actress revealed, “We are naming her Alayna Singh Shah. During our trip to Maldives in February, we had decided that if we have a daughter, this would be her name. This was the first name we both agreed upon, and after that, throughout the pregnancy, we called our baby, ‘Al’.”
These have been tough times, especially for the medical infrastructure. But Shikha has been happy with the kind of treatment she has got in the hospital. She says, “Karan and I had taken all the precautions we could throughout our pregnancy. We wore masks constantly, sanitised ourselves and did all household chores. God has been kind as everything went smooth. The baby has arrived and we are both fine. The hospital is also taking very good care. They are meticulous and sanitising the area very well.”
However, she did admit to feeling a little strange seeing everyone around in PPE kits. There are no visitors allowed so her husband is staying with them and taking care of them.
When asked about her work, she said that she has taken a maternity break. But she hopes to return to the sets very soon once things get back to normal.
