Shawn narrates, “This isn’t a story about a famous musician this is a story about a guy growing up.” He is heard asking himself if he tells the world that he is just a normal person, will they stop coming to his shows. The singer narrates that maybe he should pretend to be Superman for a little longer.

The film was shot before the pandemic started and it shows Shawn rehearsing and playing for sold-out arenas. The singer’s girlfriend also makes a cameo in the trailer as they are seen performing their duet song, Senorita.

Towards the end of the trailer, Shawn can be seen behind the stage as he watches Camila on stage surrounded by lights. He says, “My song comes on the radio or something and I’m like, ‘Everything’s about you. They’re all, they have always been about you.’ She goes, ‘What do you mean?’ Like, they’re all about you. Like every song I’ve ever written.”

The singer also has been open about him seeking therapy back in 2018. He had revealed in an interview last year that talking about the problem and putting it out there was scary but also important.

The documentary will be released before the release of his album, Wonder. It has already earned a lot of attention as it has been pegged as a special edition during September’s TIFF screenings. It has been crafted by the music director, Grant Singer.

Andrew Gertler and Ben Winston will executive produce the movie. Gertler is also Shawn’s manager. Saul Germaine, p.g.a, and James Haygood are credited as producers.

Shawn Might Be Collaborating With Justin Bieber

In an interview on Capital Breakfast with the Roman Kemp radio show, the singer was questioned about creating a duet with Justin. He said, “Is this you trying to get me to confirm that I have a collaboration with Justin Bieber?”

Shawn said he would be insane if he turned an opportunity to collaborate with Justin as he is one of his favorite artists since he was nine years old. Before fans started speculating about the tension between the two artists. The simple reason was that Shawn once dated Justin’s now-wife, Hailey Bieber.
