‘We Are Separating’

“We regret to confirm that we are separating. For the wellbeing of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.” the statement said. The couple have two children together.

Their official announcement comes as a shock to the fans who considered them to be one of the most successful and strong power couple of the world.

Pique featured in Shakira’s “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” music video and few weeks following the release of the song, the two made it official that they were dating.

Shakira’s Comments About Pique In The Past

The 45-year old singer was earlier caught up in rumors that she had instigated separation from her Footballer boyfriend in 2017 but these claims turned out to be false during that time.

However, the two had been loved by the audience as a couple and Shakira regularly praised Pique for his parenting style.

She once said: ‘He’s got his feet on the ground and is very practical about problem-solving. When I get stressed about how to organise things or juggle it all, he helps put it all in perspective.

However, after rumors that Pique was found cheating on Shakira with another woman, and the breakup statement surfacing soon after, we are certain that the story of this power couple has now ENDED!
