Sex Education is back with its 3rd season on Netflix this September

Sex Education will return to Netflix in September 2021 for a third season. There’s been a lot announced about the third season of the British comedy, and there’s still a lot we don’t know, so let’s dive into what we do know about Sex Education season 3.

It should come as no surprise that Netflix will be looking forward to the third season of one of their most popular series to date. We knew it wouldn’t be long, but Sex Education has been renewed for a third season on Netflix! We already had it on good authority that the series would return for a third season before the ‘official’ announcement. According to Production Weekly, the third season of Sex Education will begin filming in May 2020 and will last until September 2020. Of course, as we’ll see in a moment, that didn’t happen.

Laurie Dunn, the show’s creator, has also announced that she will return to write for the third season. Dunn had previously stated that she had begun writing for the third season regardless of whether or not the series will be renewed:

Netflix has recently confirmed that Sex Education season 3 has commenced filming after some rescheduling courtesy to COVID-19! The first episode’s screenplay will no doubt delight viewers, and maybe we’ll see some photographs from the set shortly.
