The “Dumb Money” movie has ensembled A-List cast members. As the name suggests the story will revolve around a bunch of Reddit users who sunk down the largest hedge funds on the Wallstreet and also shorted GameStop stock to send it skyrocketing later.
Deadline reports that Pete Davidson, Seth Rogen, Sebastian Stan, and Paul Dano have onboarded the cast of the film, which is being produced by Black Bear Pictures. The Antisocial Network, a book by Ben Mezrich, served as the inspiration for the film. It will be directed by Craig Gillespie, whose previous work includes “Cruella,” “Pam and Tommy,” and “Mike” on television.
The screenwriters of the movie have finely adapted the characters in the book says the official of the production house Teddy Schwartzman . Further adding he also said that the writers have adapted the one of the greatest underdog of all time with a great detailing and also has onboarded a spectacular cast for the movie. Praising about the writer he said that they are honoured to have teamed up with Aaron Ryder and his excellent team of writers behind the camera to bring Dumb Money alive on the screen.
Fans are highly speculating the return of Sebastian Stan in this movie.
Sebastian Stan is most known for playing Bucky, better known as the Winter Soldier, in the Marvel film series as Captain America’s closest buddy. The actor was last seen playing in Tom and Pammy. He pulled off Tom’s look pretty well. Everyone claimed that this look of his was the complete opposite of his personality which makes it even more unique.
Stan was recently nominated for an Emmy for his performance in the Hulu limited series “Pam & Tommy.” Following last year’s Sundance favorite “Fresh,” Stan continues to work in the independent cinema industry with “A Different Man.” he is also involved in another A24 project which is a backed comedy thriller “Sharper” in which he will be seen acting opposite Julianne Moore, Justice Smith, and John Lithgow. Benjamin Caron co-wrote and directed the movie, which will premiere on Apple TV+.
