Fans are being trolled by The Boys’ social media account, which has “spoilt” the season 3 finale. Season 3 of Amazon’s gory superhero comedy has been in the works since earlier this year, and interest is building. Season 2 of The Boys received a lot of praise from critics last fall, with many applauding the performances and real-life ties.
On top of its customary satire of superhero culture, The Boys attacked white supremacy and the power of social media. Season 3, which is said to examine American history, will only add to this.
The Boys season 3 has yet to be given a launch date on Amazon, so much of what is to come is unknown. The majority of the original cast members, lead by Karl Urban and Antony Starr, will remain, however newcomer Jensen Ackles has received a lot of attention.
Soldier Boy, one of the universe’s first superheroes, will be played by the Supernatural alum on The Boys. That would be plenty to capture the interest of fans of the comics on which the show is based, but Season 3 will also feature another important event: Herogasm.
In actuality, The Boys season 3 will most certainly end with another surprise, game-changing twist, much like the previous seasons’ finales. In Season 2, it was revealed that righteous Congresswoman Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) was the mastermind behind the unexplained head explosions that had befallen Susan Raynor and others (Jennifer Esposito).
Worse, Hughie had recently accepted a position with her. The Boys is just going to get weirder from here, based on that startling conclusion. Although the multiple plot twists and turns would make sense as a fantasy dream for Hughie, it’s safe to assume the Amazon series will take a different path.
