Season 1 of the Filipino anime series “Trese” will premiere on Netflix this June
Trese, Netflix’s first Filipino anime series, will premiere on the streaming service in June 2021! The highly anticipated horror-crime anime has been in the works for quite some time and is one of the year’s most highly awaited anime releases. We’ve got all the details on Trese, including the plot, dub casts, trailer, and Netflix release date.
Trese is a new Netflix Original Filipino anime series based on Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo’s popular Filipino manga of the same name. BASE Entertainment is in charge of the anime’s production. Trese will be the first Filipino anime series on Netflix, which has seen a host of new animated series from around the world.
Trese season 1 on Netflix?
Trese’s first season will premiere on Netflix on Friday, June 11th, 2021, as previously announced. The anime will be available to stream on Netflix around the world.
What is Trese’s story about?
Mythical creatures from Philippine folklore hide among the human population in the city of Manila. However, not all of the creatures are friendly, and Alexandra Trese finds herself in a battle with Manila’s criminal underworld, which is ruled by malevolent supernatural beings.
Trese’s first season will be relatively brief, with only six episodes planned for release. The episode runtimes are unknown, but we continue to expect each episode to be between 25 and 30 minutes long.
Trese’s main series consists of seven books in total. Alexandra Trese works on 13 cases in the first three books of the series. It’s very likely that Trese’s first season will focus on the events of the first six cases in the story, which will cover the entirety of volume 1 and two cases from volume 2.
Trese will almost certainly appear on Netlfix again in the near future. Renewal is largely determined by the popularity of the anime, but given the manga’s popularity, this should not be a problem.
