Scott Bartnick Tells How Social Media Has Influenced The American Dream

With a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida, and a job at a Fortune 500 company, Scott Bartnick seemed to have it all. He was quickly working his way up the corporate ladder and was going to live a very comfortable life. He soon found it harder to get up each and every day to go to work, something most people face day in and day out. Bartnick then made a decision that would change his life forever. He quit.

Inspired by the novel “The Four Hour Work Week,” by: Tim Ferriss, a suggestion made by his sister, Bartnick’s itch to travel was reinvigorated and he was ready to live the life he dreamed of. Now he just needed a source of income. Bartnick realized he could find his answer in remote work and online business opportunities. Still a relatively new concept in the business world, this online business venture gave him the freedom he longed for. His days of working a 9 to 5 the rest of his life were over.

Bartnick soon made his way into the world of e-commerce, averaging about $1,000 a month. He discovered the power of social media and Instagram growth services and used it to his advantage. Bartnick then started to grow his Instagram presence and those around him took notice. He began doing website development for his clients and helped them grow their social media presence while also teaching them how to take advantage of automation opportunities. He says by doing this work, it helped him learn ways to grow his own businesses by utilizing social media.

While that was providing income for Bartnick, he still had much bigger plans. He launched his brand and began privet label selling on Amazon. He made a goal for himself to profit $10 a day and hit that goal almost immediately. With the success of eCommerce and almost 150 clients for his social media marketing work, he knew he had something big.

Following his success with Amazon, Bartnick founded The Five Day Startup, a company where he offers consultation to anyone who is looking to start an Amazon business or an e-commerce venture. Based on his work in social media management, he also co-founded Otter PR along with his friend and business partner Jay Feldman. With their talent and skills combined, these entrepreneurs have worked together to create multiple 6-figures businesses that are still expanding today. At the end of the day, Bartnick’s long term goal isn’t just to make money.

“We want to build something bigger,” Bartnick said. “A network of entrepreneurs who are like us, to help each other, and enjoy this life together.”

With the help of The Five Day Startup and Otter PR, Bartnick hopes to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs to take their business endeavors to new heights. He advises his clients to come up with strategic business plans and to be practical about their goals.

For Bartnick, this is only the beginning. He has redefined the American dream, and it is on display before our very eyes on social media. With a huge following on Instagram and YouTube, this is not the last time you will hear of Scott Bartnick. He hopes his story can give someone the push they need to pursue their dreams and take a chance on themselves.
