Sasha Banks And Naomi

Sasha Banks And Naomi Make Public Appearance In The Midst Of WWE Comeback Hype

Sasha Banks has changed her look yet again amid rumours of a WWE comeback. Banks posted pics of herself and Naomi, the other woman who stepped out of WWE on May 16, at the opening night of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law in Los Angeles on Monday evening. Banks also said hello to Mark Ruffalo, one of celebrities of the forthcoming Disney+ series, in the post.

Banks revealed her plans to change to a blond hair look via Instagram Stories earlier this week, asking her supporters if they knew a better hairdresser in Los Angeles. Banks’ hairstyle had previously been altered to incorporate the colours yellow and red into her signature blue and green streaks. Banks and Naomi are rumoured to be on their way back to WWE. According to Dave Meltzer, it’s a matter of when, not if, WWE plans to bring back the former Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Meltzer also suggested that Banks and Naomi return immediately after fresh WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are awarded the title, setting up a feud for the trophies they never lost. He also mentioned that WWE didn’t think it’s a good idea to put them in the contest just to build up expectation for their ultimate comeback.

Alexa Bliss and Asuka

As previously stated, Alexa Bliss and Asuka advanced to the first round of the tournament on this week’s WWE Raw, establishing a semi-final clash with Dakota Kai and IO SKY for next week. The winners would then face a tag team from the SmackDown / NXT part of the bracket. Banks & Naomi created their first public appearances since leaving WWE earlier this month at the Chicago And Entertainment Expo Convention (C2E2).

Both wrestlers were reportedly on expiring contracts at the time of their WWE walkout. Whereas Naomi was apparently negotiating a new deal, former WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide reported that Banks’ contract was set to expire later this year. They appear to be signing new contracts to complete their WWE comeback.

Till McMahon’s retirement, however no wrestler expressed a desire to come back to the firm, and reports even surfaced that WWE had let Banks go. As rumours of the duo’s return spread, the WWE declared a contest for the vacant WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, which had been dormant for months. It’s unclear whether this is another sign that Banks and Naomi are returning. The pair was most recently seen at Chicago’s C2E2 convention this past weekend.
