The jodi of Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani in the daily soap Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon has been one of the most loved ones!
It has been years since the daily soap Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon got over. But the fans still reminisce the show. There is still a huge demand for Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti to be back together for a show.
The two of them created a different kind of magic on the screens. However, Barun’s sudden exit from the show resulted in the makers ending it. This was because the audience did not want a replacement in the show.
Sanaya Irani, who played the lead role of Khushi in the show, has now revealed that someone else was going to play Barun’s role of Arnav. And it was none other than her then boyfriend, and now husband Mohit Sehgal.
Bollywood Life quoted Sanaya saying, “Mohit was also auditioning for Arnav’s role. He was still in everybody’s minds after Miley Jab Hum Tum, people were speculating that he might be the Arnav for the show. While I was kept in a room with 10 girls during the audition, Mohit had got a separate room for getting ready and prepping up. When he gave the audition, everybody was keen to send it to the channel for the final decision.”
She even revealed that Barun and Mohit were the last two finalised people. However, it was the former who eventually bagged the role.
Talking about Mohit and Sanaya, they had worked together in Miley Jab Hum Tum. While the show became really popular, they started dating since then. The couple finally got hitched in the year 2016 as they had a destination wedding in Goa.
