Samsung No.1 in 5G smartphone market, Vivo returns in top 5
According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), global smartphone shipments recorded an 11.7 percent year-on-year (YoY) decline. However, Samsung, Huawei and Apple retained their market positions among all these. Samsung is at number one with 21.1%, Huawei with 17.8% and Apple at number three with 13.3% market share.

Xiaomi was at number four in this list. It has a market share of 10.7 percent. Vivo retains 9% of the market, returning to the top 5 brands. Vivo shipped a total of 24.8 million units.

Samsung No.1 in 5G Market
According to a new report, the total number of shipments of the global 5G smartphone market has crossed 24 million. These figures are for the first quarter of 2020. Strategy Analytics reported that the demand for the 5G device was higher this year than last year. China has the highest demand for 5G smartphones. According to the report, Samsung leads the shipment of 5G devices. China’s smartphone company Huawei ranked second after Samsung.
