South Korean smartphone and electronic device maker Samsung has decided to donate 20 crore rupees to the PM CARES Fund of the Government of India and the State Government Fund to fight the coronavirus. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised this initiative of Samsung India through his Twitter handle. PM Modi has written in a post from his Twitter handle that leading companies are taking part in the fight to fight COVID-19 in India. Tagging Samsung India, PM Modi has written that this is a commendable step.

Let me tell you that India is a big market for South Korean smartphone maker company. The company has decided to donate Rs 15 crore for the PM CARES fund of the Government of India. It also donate Rs 5 crore for the coronavirus fund created by the state government of Tamil Nadu. Also,Uttar Pradesh to fight coronaviruses. Samsung India has written in its press note that we are donating this amount for the necessary medical equipment of local administration and community hospitals.

Apart from this, the employees of Samsung have also decided to donate this to the coronavirus fund. In addition, the South Korean company has also donated thousands of PPE kits and required healthcare utilities for coronavirus warriors. Surgical gloves, face masks, gloves, preventive eye wear, hood cap and shoe covers are donated with each PPE kit. Samsung also donate infrared thermometers and air purifiers to maintain air purity in the atmosphere for medical facilities.
