The trailer for The Family Man season 2 will be released months after the teaser. A new poster for the Amazon Prime Video series has been released in advance of the trailer.
On Wednesday, the trailer for the second season of The Family Man, an Amazon Prime Video spy series, will be released (May 19). Samantha Akkineni will make her digital debut in this show. Samantha plays Raji, a new nemesis of Srikant Tiwari, played by Manoj Bajpayee, in the series. She plays a Tamilian from Sri Lanka.
The Family Man is an action-drama series about a middle-class man named Srikant who works for the National Investigation Agency’s special cell (NIA). Srikant’s tightrope walk is explored in the series as he tries to strike a balance between his secretive, low-paying, high-pressure, high-stakes work and his roles as a husband and father.
Raj and DK, the show’s producers, had previously stated in an interview with Let’sOTT, “The story shifts to a region where we wanted a Tamil actor in the second season. We were discussing a group of actors when Samantha made one phone call that sealed the deal for me. It’s because of her unshakable conviction; she was the one who convinced us that she could do it. I tried to ask her if she thought she could do it, but she was certain she could. We should take it if the actor reveals it.”
Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Seema Biswas, Darshan Kumar, Sharad Kelkar, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanwantary, Shahab Ali, Vedant Sinha, and Mahek Thakur will also appear in the new season. Mime Gopi, Ravindra Vijay, Devadarshini Chetan, Anandsami, and N Alagamperumal are among the cast members from Tamil cinema.
