Ryan Gosling has been making quite a lot of headlines these days as new pictures of his look in Greta Gerwig’s BARBIE get released. A few days ago, his first look as Ken was released which caused quite a stir. Recently, new pictures of Margot Robbie & Ryan Gosling from Barbie sets were leaked where the two were spotted wearing Cowboy Hats.
Fans of KPOP icon, Park Jimin were quick to notice the iconic black outfit worn by Ryan Gosling in the leaked pictures. It is the same outfit that Jimin also wore in the music video for Permission To Dance by BTS.
Jimin is well known in the music industry globally, but he’s also noted for his good looks and exquisite style. And therefore, it delighted fans to see his style repeated by such a famous Hollywood actor, and for a such a big & equally iconic project that everyone’s is eagerly waiting for.
Fans think of this occurrence as extra special as Ryan Gosling is the lead actor in one of Jimin’s most favorite films, The Notebook.
Talking about the movie Jimin has previously said, “I really like it so I think I have watched it around 5 times. It’s just so touching. I don’t know.” he said. “The atmosphere is so good and I think all the emotional lines and small details shown are beautiful. I want to have that kind of beautiful love with ARMYs. “
About The Movie
Recently, Barbie was given a summer 2023 release date, positioning it to compete with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer while also positioning it as a potential summer blockbuster.
The film is set to star Robbie and Gosling as the iconic Barbie and Ken, with Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Alexandra Shipp, Will Ferrell, Hari Nef, Ncuti Gatwa, Michael Cera, Rhea Perlman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Emerald Fennell, and Rita Arya also starring, among others.
Given that this is the first significant live-action adaptation of a doll franchise that appears to be moving beyond the traditional “adapt a fairy tale with Barbie as the lead” formula that produced so many animated films in the past, and given that some of the cast members are said to be playing different versions of Barbie and Ken as well, we can only speculate as to what that casting might mean for a film adaptation that’s already quite off-the-wall.
