Ronda Rousey Talks About A Possible WWE Tag Title Run

After making her WWE in-ring debut in 2018, Ronda Rousey is currently a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion and was previously the Raw Women’s Champion. Shayna Baszler and the baddest woman on the planet have recently teamed up to rule the women’s division on Friday nights. The recent pairing has naturally raised the question among fans of whether the team will soon aim for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

A viewer directly questioned Rousey during a recent live stream on her YouTube channel as to whether winning tag gold with Baszler was something she’d always wanted to do. Rousey answered, “Yes. “I don’t need a singles title. A tag run would be fun. I think, both is great. I’ve done singles for so long, I’m ready to switch it up. It’s another thing, too; people don’t even realize I only have a year a half of in-ring interaction.”

Rousey made her professional wrestling debut at WrestleMania 34 in 2018, but she didn’t compete again until WrestleMania 35, when she took a break to start a family. In October 2021, Rousey and her husband Travis Browne welcomed their first child. Rousey unexpectedly made her return to WWE in January’s women’s Royal Rumble match, almost three months after giving birth. She entered the fight toward the end and won by defeating four other female competitors.

The Baddest Stream On The Planet

At WrestleMania 38, Rousey went on to contest Charlotte Flair for the “SmackDown” women’s championship, but she was unsuccessful in their first meeting since Survivor Series 2018. Later, in a “I Quit” match at WrestleMania Backlash, Rousey defeated Flair.

Ronda Rousey might be a badass in the ring, but she’s a total nerd outside of it. The WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion is an avid gamer who has her own gaming livestream on YouTube called The Baddest Stream On The Planet. She also gave the voice of Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11 and stated that she has been a fan of the franchise her entire life.

Aside from video games, Rousey is a big anime and manga fan. She revealed in a tweet that she spent a lot of time during the pandemic reading manga series like Fullmetal Alchemist and Kaijumax. Rousey even solicited recommendations from her Twitter followers, with titles such as Hellsing and Spy x Family making the cut. Whenever it comes to anime, one of her favourite shows is Pokémon. During a Reddit discussion session, Rousey revealed several details about her relationship with the series.
