Ravindra Jadeja the Rockstar of team India who has been in reach vain of form has scored yet another magnificent hundred. In the ongoing 1st test match against Sri Lanka at Mohali. India won the toss and elected to bat first and for the first time in 11 years India was playing without either of Cheteswar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane in the playing 11.

Rishabh Pant came out to bat ahead of Shreyas Iyer at 5. Pant missed out on a well-deserved 100 as he scored a fearless 96 runs in 97 balls which included 9 fours and 4 sixes. Hanuma Vihari and Shreyas Iyer fell in quick succession and Ravindra Jadeja walks in at number 7.

Jadeja who walked into bat at number 7 was slow to start as Rishabh pant was hitting sixes of Embuldeniya bowling and after Pant got out, Jadeja took the responsibility and he started scoring and he India ended day one play at 357-6 and Jadeja was on 45.
Jadeja erupted on day two and put on a show with the bat in hand as Jadeja got to his fifty with a classical drive and celebrates the fifty with a sword celebration. He carried on his merry way and went on to score his second hundred in test cricket.
He then pays tribute to Shane Warne as Warne was his first coach and captain in the first season of IPL for the team which Jadeja played. The Rockstar had a very special bond with the legend as he encouraged Jadeja a lot. Jadeja was nicknamed Rockstar by Shane Warne.
Jaddu went on to score 150 plus runs and ended his innings at 175 not out with 17 fours and 3 sixes before India declared their innings at 574-8. He accomplished several records while he was batting
- Jadeja now becomes the batsman with the highest score in test matches batting at number 7 or below position as he scored 175*.
- Jadeja also became the first player to be involved in three 100+ run partnerships batting at number 7 or below position.
- He also becomes only the second Indian player after Kapil Dev to score 5000 runs and take 400 plus wickets playing for India.
