Sidharth Shukla is a well-known Indian actor, model, and TV host. From the small screen to the big screen, Sidharth has done it all. He has been seen in popular Television shows like Balika Vadhu and Dil Se Dil Tak. He has also appeared in Bollywood films like Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya and a Kazakh Film titled ‘Business in Kazakhstan‘.

Early Life
Sidharth Shukla comes from a Hindu Brahmin family. He was born on 12 December and is 40 years old. Sidharth was born and raised in Mumbai by his father Ashok Shukla and mother Rita Shukla. His father is a civil engineer by profession and was employed by India’s central bank. His mother was a housewife. Sidharth is the youngest kid in the family. He has two sisters who are elder to him.
Sidharth went to St. Xavier’s High School in Mumbai. He was a proactive and physically strong child in his school days and loved to play sports. He played against the International football club AC Milan’s under-19 team, on their Mumbai visit as part of Festa Italiana. He has also completed an undergraduate degree and majored in Interior Design from the Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design.
Sidharth’s Modelling Passion
Sidharth was a good-looking young hunk and he knew it. His passion for the fashion industry and modelling grew intense while he worked as an employee in an Interior designing firm for a couple of years.
Sidharth took part in many male beauty pageants and modelling contests. It was 2004 when Shukla’s breakthrough moment for his showbiz career knocked on the door. He was announced runner-up in the Gladrags Manhunt and Mega model Contest.

The following year, Sidharth was fortunate to represent his country at an international stage in the World’s Best Model competition held in Turkey. His competitors came from Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Sidharth was the first Indian, in fact, the first Asian who had won the World’s Best Model competition that year. This is where Sidharth was noticed by multi-national brands. This was the take-off moment for the Sidharth Shukla we know today.
India’s leading motorbike company Bajaj Avenger approached Sidharth Shukla to be the face of their brand after his victory in Turkey. ICICI and Digjam also followed suit.
Sidharth and his talent now reached a wider audience through television commercials.
Television Debut
In 2008, Sidharth was seen in Sony TV’s Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na alongside Aastha Chaudhary. He played the role of Shubh Ranawat who was a dedicated family man juggling the responsibilities of life.
When Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na ended in 2009, Sidharth did not have to wait for long to land another project. Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi on Star One cast Sidharth Shukla as Veer Vardhan Singh opposite Sanjeeda Sheikh and Aditi Tailang. During this time, he was also seen in few episodes of Aahat.
Sidharth Shukla reached the pinnacle of his stardom with the Colors TV show Balika Vadu in which he portrayed the role of Shiv. His co-stars were Pratyusha Banerjee and Toral Rasputra.
Most recently, Sidharth was seen in the role of Parth Bhanushali in Dil Se Dil Tak with co-stars Rashami Desai and Jasmin Bhasin in 2017. The series was inspired by the Bollywood movie, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke.
Entry In Bollywood
There is a reason Sidharth Shukla is the Jack of All Trades and it is because he is a versatile personality who has left no stone unturned in the entertainment industry. His entry to Bollywood was with the famous Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt rom-com, Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya. Sidharth was seen in a supporting role as Angad Bedi in the movie.
For his role in Humpty Sharma ki Dulhaniya, Sidharth was honoured with the ‘Breakthrough Supporting Performance (Male)” award in the 2015 Stardust Awards.
Sidharth Shukla Conquers Indian Reality Shows
While Sidharth doubled his popularity and fan base after appearing in BiggBoss season 13, it was quite before that when Sidharth had begun to catch the grip of Indian reality TV.
Sidharth was the host of the Indian crime show Saavdhan India – India Fights Back that aired on Star Bharat. He also anchored the famous Colors TV reality show India’s Got Talent season 6 with comedian Bharti Singh. He came back to host the following season 7 as well.
Sidharth took part in the stunt reality TV show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 7. He performed extremely well throughout the season and ended up winning the show.
Most Popular BiggBoss Contestant
In BiggBoss season 13, Sidharth Shukla proved his power to the world. He won the reality TV show defeating fellow housemate Asim Riaz. Sidharth Shukla has been the most popular BiggBoss contestant for straight twenty weeks as per surveys conducted by Hindustan Times, TOI, and India TV News.
Throughout his BiggBoss journey, his fans showered immense love and support for him. Sidharth was the winner of #AsliFans contest held by Voot on twitter. He had received the highest number of tweets among all the contestants, with hashtag #SidharthKeAsliFans.
His friendship with Shehnaaz Gill in the house still continues to make headlines. The two were very close to each other and had become the best of friends in the house. After leaving the house, Sidharth even made a music video with her titled ‘Bhula Dunga’. The two continue to spend quality time with each other ever since the season ended.
Sidharth was also seen in another music video “Dil Ko Karaar Aaya” opposite Neha Sharma. In January 2021, Shukla was back on the sets of BiggBoss to host the 16th week’s “Weekend Ka Vaar” in season 14 as Salman Khan was missing from the show due to other work commitments.
Sidharth Shukla – The Youth Icon
Times of India’s Most Desirable Men featured Sidharth Shukla in their list for more than 5 years. In 2013, he was ranked at the 34th position but in the 2019 issue of Most Desirable Men, he had jumped on the 15th place.
Sidharth also ranked 1st in The Times’ 20 Most Desirable Men on Television in 2019.
His fitness and physique fetched him the Most Fit Actor Award in 2014. He was named the Wellness Icon of the Year award in the 8th Geospa Asiaspa India Awards. In 2019, Shukla had become the 9th most Googled personality in India.
Upcoming Project Of Sidharth Shukla
There were rumours making the rounds on social media that Sidharth will be seen in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai but that ended up not being true.
The 40-year-old will be seen in the OTT series titled Broken But Beautiful for season 3. Sidharth Shukla has been working for the show alongside debutante Sonia Rathee since 2020. Broken But Beautiful is an Ekta Kapoor-backed ALT Balaji series.
Sidharth will portray the character named Agastya in this romantic drama. At the time of the show’s announcement, Sidharth had expressed his excitement about collaborating with Ekta Kapoor. Broken But Beautiful 3’s release is expected to be in May 2021.
The popular first two seasons of Broken But Beautiful starred Vikrant Massey and Harleen Sethi in the lead roles. Sidharth is also rumored to appear in Lol- Hasse Toh Phasse along with Shehnaz Gill.
