Rhea Ripley Is Preparing For Big Match At WWE Elimination Chamber

Rhea Ripley, who prevailed in the women’s Royal Rumble match in 2023, is deviating a little from her original plan to get to WrestleMania in order to atone for some of her prior transgressions. At the very beginning of Monday night’s “WWE Raw,” Edge and Beth Phoenix made an appearance and demanded a match against Ripley and Finn Balor.

Edge and Phoenix were soon addressed by Balor, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio. Mysterio accepted the challenge on behalf of Ripley even though their Judgment Day coworker wasn’t present, and WWE made the contest official. At the Elimination Chamber competition, Ripley and Balor will go up against Edge and Phoenix. In retaliation for Phoenix being attacked at the Extreme Rules tournament in October, Edge and Phoenix are still on the hunt.

In an “I Quit” match, Edge and Balor faced off against each other. Ripley, Priest, and Dominik Mysterio supported Balor, while Phoenix and Rey Mysterio supported Edge. The numerical advantage proved to be too much as Ripley defeated Phoenix and threatened to deliver a con chair to “The Glamazon.” Edge gave up since he could find no other way to save his wife, which helped Balor win. Ripley nevertheless shot Phoenix in the head with a chair.

WrestleMania 39

Earlier this month, during the men’s Royal Rumble bout, Phoenix made a comeback to WWE programming. Edge, who entered the contest as the 24th participant, promptly dispatched Priest and Balor. Edge was defeated by Dominik, and the fight then resumed in the entrance aisle. Ripley appeared once more, but Phoenix appeared unexpectedly and slashed her with a spear.

Later that evening, after Phoenix’s wounds had healed, Ripley won the women’s Rumble match, earning herself a shot at the championship at WrestleMania 39. The “SmackDown” Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will be Ripley’s opponent on “Raw” the following night. In the interview, The Queen was only positive about The Nightmare. See what she said below:

Rhea Ripley, I’m honoured she picked me. I’m happy for her that she won the Royal Rumble, especially after going one to thirty. We clearly have unfinished business, but I also believe I might be her worst nightmare, right? When Rhea Ripley won the NXT Women’s championship at WrestleMania 36, Charlotte challenged her for the title. Charlotte won the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble match.
