Miami has seen real estate prices skyrocket over the past year, a major reason for this is the relocation of many people from around the country, as well as the world. Many people moved to Miami because it had relatively lax regulations associated with the ongoing pandemic. The city is also appealing because of the lack of state income tax and the attractions of a tropical climate and endless captivating activities. Reid Heidenry relocated to Miami from the Midwest in search of growth opportunities and a chance to live a balanced life.
Heidenry attended the University of Miami, where he did high jump on the track team. His first job out of college was as an agent with NEXT Model Management. Heidenry later transitioned to real estate, and never looked back. His building blocks of discipline and consistency served him well, as he is one of the top agents for Sotheby’s Miami Beach.
While most people change jobs frequently, Heidenry never deviated from his commitment to real estate. He spent long hours educating himself and learning about the intricacies of the business, turning his hard work into a fruitful career. He has built a powerful network of elite clientele from the fashion industry, and he takes pride in helping such clients find their dream home at the best possible price. He strives to create personal relationships with his clients that go beyond a simple service provider. Such an authentic and genuine approach has been critical for receiving referrals from former clients, as well as repeat clients that have benefitted from working with Heidenry.
Heidenry is bullish on the city of Miami, saying that if Miami was a stock, he would definitely purchase it. He also compares owning real estate in Miami to owning stocks of the city. He believes Miami will continue to grow because it is a much younger city in comparison to other major cities in the U.S. He also thinks that Miami is removing its stigma of being a party city — becoming a city where professionals can work and do business. This is evidenced by the mass exodus of affluent New Yorkers leaving during the pandemic.
Heidenry often likes to pause to reflect on his success, feeling a sense of accomplishment as he achieved many of the things he aspired to do. Regardless, he looks to continue to improve and better himself to grow even further in the real estate space. Like the famous saying goes, “It takes 15 years to achieve overnight success”. Although it took Heidenry 16 years to join the top ranks at his firm, the journey was well worth it.
