Reese Witherspoon & ‘Legally Blonde’ Cast Reunite, Announce Third Movie

The cast of Legally Blonde reunited to raise funds for the World Central Kitchen.

Reese Witherspoon, who played the character of Elle Woods, including Luke Wilson, Jennifer Coolidge, Matthew Davis, Ali Larter, Selma Blair, Holland Taylor, Jessica Cauffiel, and Alanna Ubach, were all together to celebrate the iconic film.

Reese shared how much she loves Elle Woods and how important the movie was for her. She explained that her character inspired people to believe in themselves. The actress added that the character inspires her to keep an open mind and always be an advocate for herself and others.

The actress said, “We decided after almost 20 years it was time to have a reunion because we love each other and we wanted to share the joy we had making this film.” Chloe Fineman was the one who mediated the reunion and introduced everyone. She shared, “People always, always ask me to do the ‘Bend and Snap’. That was a full musical sequence that we ended up cutting out of the movie. It was just so fun, but it felt so odd because it was only one sequence.” The actress also added that people quote, “What like it’s hard”.

Legally Blonde 3 Coming in May 2022

The reunion further had the cast looking back in time to look at them sharing the most special moments together. However, for fans of the movie, there was also more to look out for, as news of another movie was confirmed after the reunion. MGM announced there will be a third installment of the iconic Legally Blonde movie. And it was also revealed that the movie will be coming in May 2022.

The classic story followed the character of Elle Woods who follows her ex, Warner Huntington III to Harvard Law School to get him back. Her attempts to win him back only makes her realize her own strengths in the process.

The movie was a blockbuster that led to a second installment in 2003, Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde. Reese had confirmed back in 2018 that there will be Legally Blonde 3, however, we did not know it will be here in 2022.

It was also reported that Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor had been wrapped in to write the script for the sequel.
