Here’s the real reason why Arjun Kapoor replaced Sushant Singh Rajput in Half Girlfriend

An old tweet of Chetan Bhagat is doing the rounds of social media which revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput was to play the lead in Half Girlfriend!

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death has caused a stir in the nation. People have been grieving over her suicide and are upset with the industry for not welcoming him as an actor. Now an old tweet of Chetan Bhagat is doing the rounds of social media which was made before the film Half Girlfriend went on the floors.

It revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput was to play the lead in Half Girlfriend. However, things changed later and Arjun Kapoor replaced the actor in the film as the lead. Now the people have been trolling Arjun for taking Sushant’s place.

Back in the time, SSR had himself revealed why he had to step out of the project. He had told Bollywood Life, “See, I was doing many films and they are all releasing now. I don’t want to name them. What happens is, when I give my word to someone and he’s delaying (not because he wants to, but because of a particular reason) and I get to understand it, I won’t ditch.”

“So be it the biggest film with the biggest studio or the smallest film, I won’t leave another film. So unfortunately, because of the two films that I was doing and that didn’t happen, I lost out on 12 films in the last one year. One film didn’t happen and the other was put off by a few months. And these films are the films that we generally talk about these days. Let’s not get into all that,” the actor had added.

He had to also drop out of Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor, in which Aditya Roy Kapoor replaced him.
