Poster Highlights from Season 10 of American Horror Story Themes from the Double Feature

Season 10’s twin stories and diverse universes are highlighted in a new poster for American Horror Story: Double Feature. The long-running anthology series’ highly anticipated tenth season has taken some time to reach the screen. The pandemic pushed back the start of main photography on the show, and work on American Horror Story was just halted once more. Fortunately, it appears that shooting on the tenth season of the show is nearing completion, and Double Feature is scheduled to launch in less than a month.

Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy, Adina Porter, Matt Bomer, and Denis O’Hare, who all sat out the series’ ninth instalment, 1984, will all return for season 10 of American Horror Story. In addition, Billie Lourd, Angelica Ross, Leslie Grossman, John Carroll Lynch, and Finn Wittrock will return to Double Feature, while Macaulay Culkin and Paris Jackson will make their first appearances on the show.

The first episode of American Horror Story season 10 is named “Cape Fear,” a subtle Jessica Lange homage that has fans wondering if the show’s creator, Stephen King, will make an appearance.

Poster Highlight

Now, a new poster from AHS on Instagram teases the two stories that will be explored in the new season. The alien head from the original poster appears in a desert landscape on the top half of the image. With what appears to be a siren shrieking underwater, the bottom half teases the undersea setting of the other half of the story.

Take a look at the poster below:

Surprisingly, the poster also appears to refer to the two independent stories’ connection. A lighthouse can be seen reflected in the alien’s eyes, implying that the aliens may be involved in the story by the sea as well as the desert. It remains to be seen how that plays out, since American Horror Story season 10 already appears to have a lot on its plate with its large cast and two-pronged storyline.
