Actor Kevin Spacey stars in the thriller ‘Peter Five Eight’, which is heading to the Cannes film market. ‘Peter Five Eight’, is picked up by the VMI International for the worldwide release. J.D. Beaufils who is the president of sales at VMI International told that the mystery thriller is completed, starring Spacey in a leading role and will be screened in the Cannes market.
The film is completed and it is going to be unveiled for the international buyers on the Croisette. The mystery thriller is produced by Mad Honey and LTD Films, and the film is a co-production of Ascent Films and Forever Safe.
In the film, Spacey plays the role of a charismatic man in a black sedan who shows up in a small mountainside community. ‘Peter Five Eight’ is directed by Michael Zaiko Hall and also stars Rebecca De Mornay, Jet Jandreau, and Jake Weber.
In the film Jet, Jandreau plays Sam, a glamorous real estate agent who is revealed to be unhinged and a troubled alcoholic with a dark secret, whereas Rebecca De Mornay plays Brenda, whom Peter targets for information at the urging of his powerful and shadowy boss, Mr. Lock.
Director Michael Zaiko Hall says it was fun while shooting for the film
The director of the film says that the stealth movie was shot in September 2021 in Siskiyou County, California, near the Oregon border. The director further said, “Kevin was a joy to work with, kept everyone laughing between takes, and delivered what I think will be a surprising treat for his fans.” Apart from, ‘Peter Five Eight’ Kevin is also starring in another movie that is being shopped in Cannes, 1242- Gateway to the West.
Spacey, a two-time Oscar winner and also a star of ‘House Of Cards’, and is also in the market with historical drama ‘1242 – Gateway To The West’, on sale with Australian outfit Galloping Entertainment.
These are the two films which are among the first Spacey projects to be on sale in the market since multiple people accused the actor of sexual harassment and unwanted advances back in 2017.
