The second season of Pavitra Rishta has become the most talked-about show in a few months. This series is going to premiere on ALT Balaji.
Ankita Lokhande and Usha Nadkarni have been recast from the first part and the new addition to the team is Shaheer Sheikh. The actor had faced immense backlash for taking up this role that was played previously by the late Sushant Singh Rajput.
The show was one of the many milestones in Sushant’s career where he became the fan-favourite. He had played the role of Manav beautifully and left a mark in the hearts of many people. Even today, people watch the re-runs of the show to enjoy the story of Manav and Archana.
Shaheer recently shared few pictures from the sets of Pavitra Rishta 2.0 with a heartfelt note. The actor shared the story of what went on his mind when he was being approached for the iconic role. He said that he did not expect it and was taken aback and confessed that he thought who would want to play a character immortalized by Sushant.
The actor explained, “I too was reluctant. Then I thought, knowing Sushant he was one to take every challenge head-on. And so I decided that while it is scary to step into his shoes & live up to audience expectations… it is scarier to NOT even try. And so I did what I felt he would do if he was in my position. I took the challenge.”
Fans got emotional after reading the heartfelt note of Shaheer and supported him in the comments. Some fans expressed that people always misunderstood him while others expressed their support by saying he was perfect for the role. His fans also urged him to not give an explanation to anyone and that he deserves this.
If Sushant’s fans accept Shaheer in the role is yet to be seen.
