Pamela Milton Makes Her First Appearance On The Walking Dead Season 11

The first look of Laila Robins as Pamela Milton, the Commonwealth’s leader, has been revealed by The Walking Dead. The eleventh and final season of AMC’s zombie drama will begin on August 22 after more than a decade on the air. The season is divided into two parts, including 24 episodes in total.

The series’ main characters will cross paths with the Commonwealth, a post-apocalyptic civilisation that is the most evolved civilization in the books, loosely recreating a comic storyline that runs issues #175-193.

At the end of season 10, armed Commonwealth soldiers ambushed Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura), and Princess (Paola Lazaro).

The first season 11 teaser closed with bookkeeper Lance Hornsby (Josh Hamilton) welcome guests to the Commonwealth at this year’s virtual San Diego Comic-Con. Laila Robins (The Black List, The Boys) has been cast as Pamela Milton, the Commonwealth’s leader or “Governor” and one of the series’ final villains. Many fans expected Georgie (Jayne Atkinson), who looks strikingly similar to Pamela, to take Milton’s place on the series.

First Look Laila Robins

In a press statement, AMC Networks (via Den of Geek) revealed the first glimpse at Robins’ Pamela. As she delivers a speech in front of a microphone with a false smile, the official photo draws parallels between the show’s ex-politician and her comic book counterpart. AMC also shared a photo of Hamilton’s Lance, who is expected to receive some unfavourable treatment from Pamela.

The Walking Dead looks to be going for a near-exact remake of Pamela’s comic book counterpart. Without Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira), who oppose Pamela’s beliefs in the original material, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) will most likely play Rick and Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) will most likely play Michonne, as teased in the season 11 teaser. In any case, Pamela and the Commonwealth will tread the same morally thorny path.

Season 11 will also include the introduction of the Reapers, a group of hunters with a mystery past with Maggie.
