Ozzy Osbourne’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, has informed fans that her husband is ‘doing well’ following an operation that she claims will ‘determine the rest of his life.’
The Talk host revealed that she would be returning to the United States to support her husband during his surgery.
Fortunately, it appears that the procedure went well, as the former X Factor judge thanked fans for their well-wishes prior to Ozzy’s operation.
Ozzy’s current operation is unknown, but the Black Sabbath musician stated last month that he was awaiting neck surgery since he ‘can’t walk properly. ‘I have physical therapy every morning,’ he stated. ‘I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.’
After injuries from a 2003 quad bike accident were compounded when he fell at home in America in 2019, Ozzy, 73, caught Covid-19 last month. He has Parkinson’s disease and continues to face additional medical concerns.
How are Fans Reacting to Ozzy’s Surgery?
Fans reacted positively to the news, expressing relief and wishing Ozzy a speedy recovery.
‘That’s good to hear,’ a fan wrote. Ozzy is a tough guy. ‘With lots of love, X.’
‘Glad to hear he’s doing well,’ someone else added. ‘Hopefully he’ll be back to doing what he loves soon.’
In January 2020, the musician released a song in partnership with Sir Elton John. It was the third single from his album Under the Graveyard, with Straight to Hell, released in November 2019, being his most recent solo song.
He was spotted travelling to a recording studio late last month, indicating that he is still keen to start composing songs and wants to return to the stage. In terms of live performances, his band’s The End Tour wrapped up in February 2017, with the final two shows taking place in Birmingham, the band’s hometown.
