On WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes Teases A Comeback In The Ring

The likelihood of Cody Rhodes making a surprise appearance in the upcoming 30-man Royal Rumble match is rising. The American Nightmare spoke about his return to the company at WrestleMania 37, his legendary rivalry with Seth Rollins, and his valiant performance at Hell in a Cell on this week’s The Absolute Best of 2022 edition of WWE Raw. Make no mistake about it, Seth and I are not close friends, Rhodes declared. Seth is unquestionably one of the top three wrestlers in the world, though.

It was an honour to compete against him three times. Once more, Seth and I do not exchange Christmas cards, but we do share a bond created by conflict. In the interview, Rhodes appeared to rule out a fourth matchup with Rollins after his return. I don’t know if that’s on my radar laughs, but I know he’s probably clamouring for a fourth match, Rhodes said. It’s important to note that Rollins recently changed his character to a babyface, which might make it impossible for WWE to reignite the rivalry between the two seasoned wrestlers.

However, on the night WWE decided to kill off Rhodes on television, Rollins ambushed him with a sledgehammer. When Rhodes returns, it will be interesting to see if WWE revisits the angle. Rhodes said he was close to receiving the all-clear to return to the ring while giving fans an update on his recovery from a torn pectoral tendon. For 2023, Rhodes stated, I would like to pick up right where I left off.

Ohio Valley Wrestling

Not just the injury, the things I did while I was away from WWE, or the birth of my daughter a lot of things have happened in my life. I can’t help but remember the youngster who came to Ohio Valley Wrestling at 4400 Shepherdsville Road in Louisville, Kentucky and declared his desire to be a professional wrestler. He boasted about his ambitious plans to everyone, but he was unaware of the associated costs.

And I can say this with certainty not haughtiness because I have paid that price. It’s more of a What have you done for me lately? sport than one where your longevity pays off. Even though I was absent for a significant portion of the year, what I was able to accomplish made an impact on the WWE Universe, and I want to continue where I left off.

Rhodes stated his desire to challenge Roman Reigns for the undisputed WWE Universal Championship. According to Rhodes, anyone familiar with the industry can infer meaning from context. There’s one specific reason WWE Championship I returned. I have no idea what would be able to stop me, not even a torn pec. I want to be the one to complete it because it must be done, and it must be done now.
