Olivia Rodrigo Says “We Hate You” To The US Supreme Court Justices At Glastonbury

Many musicians are expressing their outrage and shock over the decision of the US supreme court to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Roe V. Wade is a decision of the US supreme court which protects the fundamental rights of women to choose whether they want to have an abortion or not.

Celebrities & Singers even tweeted their thoughts about the same including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Sophia Bush, Eva Longoria, Keke Palmer, and many more.

Olivia Rodrigo, the 19-year-old singer had a performance at the Glastonbury festival, where she used her platform to express her anger over the US supreme court’s decision. She was joined by Lilly Allen (the smile singer), they did a duet on stage on Lilly’s song “F**k You”.

The performance took place on June 25, Olivia shared her views over US Supreme Court’s decision she said, ” I’m devastated and terrified. So many women and so many girls are going to die because of this.”

She dedicated the Lilly Allen song to the five members who overturn the Roe v. Wade, she said” I wanted to dedicate this next song to the five members of the Supreme Court who have shown us that at the end of the day, they truly don’t give a shot about freedom. The song is for the justices: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh. We hate you! We hate you!”

After introducing Lilly Allen onstage she spoke about how it was a dream come true to share the stage with her. She further continued, ” But I’m also equally as heartbroken about what happened in America yesterday.”

Yesterday after the news was out, Taylor Swift too shared her thoughts saying” I’m heartbroken for the people around this country who just lost the fundamental right to make informed decisions about their own bodies.”

She further added, ” This is what our mothers & grandmothers and great grandmothers lived through, and now here we are again.”

Billie Eilish who performed at the Glastonbury festival too, said, ” Today is a really dark day for women in the US. I’m just gonna say that because I can’t bear to think about it any longer at this moment. This song is dedicated to that I guess.”

Billie Eilish sang her new song “Your Power”, and shared the stage with Finneas.
