Kenny Omega

New Update Of Kenny Omega’s AEW Contract

With the news that WWE might be pursuing a significant free agent, Kenny Omega’s contract is suddenly getting a lot of attention. As a founding member of AEW, “The Cleaner” has been one of the organization’s most important personalities. Moreover, Omega and the rising promotion agreed to a four-year deal in February 2019.

Now that February 2023 has passed four years from now, if you’re keeping track some are speculating that Omega may soon be available for purchase. According to a recent source, Omega’s contract may have a clause that would permit AEW to keep him on after his injuries kept him out from November 2021 to August 2022.

Although some claim Tony Khan has publicly discussed choosing this course of action, it is not believed that such a clause has yet been used, given the likelihood that Omega’s representatives could object to its use or that it might have built-in concessions. As for Kenny Omega’s contract position in AEW, suffice it to say that nobody seems to really understand it, and those who know so far are keeping their silence in public.

If Omega were to become available, WWE is said to be interested, as is the case with any prominent AEW figure who would soon have more job alternatives open to them. There are several WWE employees who think Omega has a decent chance of being hired. Before joining AEW, the former AEW World Champion had meetings with WWE and left with favourable opinions of the organisation and current Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque.

Brock Lesnar vs Gunther

There is also a strong probability that Omega’s contract with AEW is about to expire or that Omega is already working without a contract. Brock Lesnar and WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther will soon meet. In possession of the IC title for well over 250 days, The Ring General has been a resounding victor. The longest-reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion of the twenty-first century is actually Gunther.

During his brutal title reign, the Austrian Bruiser has defeated rivals like Ricochet, Shinsuke Nakamura, Sheamus, Rey Mysterio, and Braun Strowman. Gunther mentioned that he planned to face The Beast Incarnate this week after the Bell podcast. “I’ve talked about it before. I would definitely like to play in that match at some point in my career. Also, there was a lot of discussion about it, especially online.”
