New Information Regarding AEW’s Jungle Boy’s Injury

AEW fans found out earlier this weekend that one of the company’s “Four Pillars,” Jungle Boy, will be out of action for the near future. When the news first broke, there weren’t too many details about what had put Jungle Boy on the rack. Nevertheless, we now know that one of Jungle Boy’s shoulders is wounded.

There are no prevailing details on when the injury occurred, but Dave Meltzer speculates that it occurred during the tag team ladder match in which Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus lost their AEW Tag Team Titles to The Young Bucks.

It’s also possible that he was hurt in the post-match angle with Christian Cage. After the match, Cage turned heel and attacked Jungle Boy, trying to hit him with a Killswitch and Conchairto to end the Dynamite episode. He then got into a brawl with the former AEW Tag Team Champion’s mother at ringside, hurling insults at her as she gave him the middle finger as well as clapped back with her own.

Cage appeared on this week’s episode of Dynamite to justify his actions to the AEW fanbase. He cited Jungle Boy’s elimination from the Casino Battle Royal at Double Or Nothing last year as the main inspiration for the attack. Moreover, AEW fans cheered wildly as he was removed from the battle royal. He insisted that he be treated with respect in AEW, and the pursuit began with him taking out Jungle Boy.

Cage even mentioned Jungle Boy’s late father, Luke Perry, and Marko Stunt, a former Jurassic Express member alongside Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus. His contract ended earlier this year, and the company did not renew it. Luchasaurus made his way back to the ring, overpowering Cage in the corner, and getting ready to seek vengeance on Cage for what he has done said about his tag team partner. Rather, Cage described Luchasaurus as his son and persuaded him to accompany him to the backstage area to resolve their differences.
