You might want to gear up for this news as Netflix announced that both ‘The Kissing Booth’ and ‘To All The Boys’ franchise, will end this year. The streaming service confirmed that both the franchise’s third film will be the last.
This means that Kissing Booth 3 and To All The Boys: Always and Forever will be the last we see of the rom-com. Both the movie franchise have done exceptionally well on the platform. Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer of Netflix had called Kissing Booth film the most-watched movie in the country.
The first movie was released back in 2018 and was also noted that one in three viewers re-watched the movie. Kissing Booth 2 premiered in July last year and became the third-most watched release on the streaming platform.
It also became one of the most popular titles of the year. the first movie of To All The Boys was also a huge success. The platform called it one of the most viewed original films ever with strong repeat viewing.
The Kissing Booth franchise starring Joey King, Joel Courtney, and Jacob Elordi follows the lives of best friends Elle Evans and Lee Flynn. The movie revolves around Elle falling in love with Lee’s brother, Noah after which the drama unfolds.
The second movie follows Elle and Noah’s relationship facing some trouble as they navigate long distances. Noah was attending Harvard which does not help their relationship as Elle meets a new love interest. In the third installment, Elle will have to make a decision of whether she would be attending Harvard to be with Noah or join Lee at UC Berkeley.

Meanwhile, To All The Boys revolves around Lara Jean Covey whose sister sends out her secret letters to her crushes. One of them turns out to be Peter Kavinsky, played by Noah Centineo. The two pretend to be in a relationship that transforms into real feelings.
The second installment focuses on Lara and Peter’s romance but one of her previous crushes, John Ambrose shows up. Lara had to decide between the two. The third film will follow Lara Jean trying to embark on her life-changing trips. This forces her to reimagine what life would look like with her friends, family, and Peter.
Though neither of the final films has specific release dates yet, they are set to premiere in 2021. The third part of Kissing Booth was shot at the same time as the second installment. You know what this means right? It means the third installment will release in 2021.
Joey King and Joel Courtney along with Netflix hosted a special event for fans. They confirmed the third installment and that the entire cast will be a part of it too. The event was also attended by Joey’s on-screen love interest, Jacob Elordi. Castmates like Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Taylor Zakhar Perez, and Meganne Young, and director Vince Marcello were also present.
Joey confirmed the third installment and thanked the fans of the movie for their support and love. She acknowledged the love fans gave them from the first movie to the second. The actress later added that she has more exciting news for some. She revealed Kissing Booth 3 will be releasing in 2021.
