Neo and the rest of the core characters seem effortlessly cool in a new poster for The Matrix Resurrections.
Lana Wachowski directed Resurrections, the fourth Matrix film, which is the first in the franchise she has directed without her sister Lilly, who declined to join the project.
It comes nearly two decades after The Matrix Revolutions, which was released in 2003.
Matrix Resurrections Poster
The Matrix Resurrections will see Keanu Reeves reprise his role as Neo, who appears to have lost all memory of the events of the first trilogy. Niobe will be played by Jada Pinket-Smith, and Trinity will be played by Carrie-Ann Moss. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Christina Ricci, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and others will appear alongside them. On December 22, 2021, the film will be released in theatres and immediately on HBO Max (for the first month of release).
A beautiful new poster for The Matrix Resurrections was published on The Matrix Resurrections’ official Twitter account. Neo and Trinity return in their classic leather suits, joined by both new and returning characters from the franchise, in an environment similar to the usual green Matrix code. “Return to the Source” is the tagline, which continues the film’s promotional material’s idea of coming full circle.
Have A Look
Despite the fact that The Matrix Resurrections releases first-look photographs on a regular basis, as well as numerous revisions of its teaser and official trailer, the plot remains mostly unknown.
The poster doesn’t reveal anything about the plot of the film that fans wouldn’t already know, but it does show that the franchise’s famous imagery is still as striking as ever.
The characters’ slick and stylish style remains effective even 22 years after the original film’s premiere, and the one spot where the image straying from the established design is possibly its most intriguing.
