Nausheen Shah Shares Her Frustration On Being Pressurized To Get Married
Nausheen Shah opened up and got candid about a sensitive issue in the Pakistani society. The issue of single women!
The well-known Lollywood actress has been seen in the wildly popular series Pani Jaisa Pyar portraying the role of Dua. Other reputed roles of Nausheen include Mera Pehla Pyar, Sartaj Mera Tu Mera, Mann Chalay, Khud Parast Deewar-e-Shab and Tarap.
Recently, Nausheen took to her Instagram stories to address the issue that has been frustrating her for a while now. She is 36 years old and still unmarried.
‘Your Mother Will Remind You Of It Everyday’
The societal pressure had taken a toll on her and Nausheen decided to vent it all out on social media.
She called out the society and her mother for constantly telling her to tie the knot.

“This happens only in this f****** country. If you are not married your mother will remind you of it every day. Shaadi karlo, shaadi karlo, nahi karni shaadi bhae, muaf kardo, jaan choro(‘Get married, get married,’ I don’t want to get married please forgive me and let me be)”, she wrote on Instagram.
Nausheen also clearly mentioned the reason why she has not married yet. It is because she doesn’t want to.
Public Reaction
While Nausheen might have intended to find solace after venting her dilemmas in the open, things quite backfired. Nausheen Shah might have not expected this!
Nausheen was heavily criticized after publishing the stories on her Instagram handle. Netizens targeted Nausheen for her rude tone and for using obscene language.
Public reaction was negative. One user said: “She abused our country, they earn money from this country and then abuse it.
Do parents have no right to think about their child’s future? People like you are really a disgrace for our community. If you want to be so modern and western then kindly leave but keep your mouth shut”, added another.
Nausheen’s Battle With Depression And Anxiety
Nausheen Shah had been battling anxiety and mental health issues for over five years. She recently came out of rehab and is trying to focus on the betterment of her life.
Keeping this in mind, one of the users requested others to ‘forgive her’ as she had been suicidal in the past and any negative comment can send her back to the dark and gloomy days.
Leading public figures of the industry also jumped in to respond to Nausheen’s vent, which created a ruckus out of the entire issue which was just supposed to be an opinion of an individual. What do you think about this? Let us know.
