More Veteran WWE Stars Are Expected To Return For The 8/12 SmackDown

Several veteran WWE Superstars have returned to the company since Paul Triple H Levesque was appointed as the new WWE Head of Creative and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations. Dakota Kai returned to WWE last month at SummerSlam after being released in April. At SummerSlam, IYO SKY made her WWE main roster debut alongside Kai. Kai isn’t the only former WWE Superstar to make a comeback.

Two-time former NXT Champion Karrion Kross & his partner and manager, Scarlett, made their surprise return to SmackDown on August 5 after being released in November 2021. Kross assaulted Drew McIntyre at the end of the show, repetitively hitting his head against metal ring leaps as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns as well as the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions looked on.

The Usos stood in the ring and watched. Another veteran NXT star made their come back on Monday’s episode of Raw. Following the main event match between AJ Styles and The Miz, Dexter Lumis made a brief appearance at the end of the show. Based on the report, two more former WWE Superstars may make an appearance on SmackDown. Source confirms a report from an origin that Top Dolla AJ Francis & Ashante Thee Adonis will appear on Friday’s episode.

Francis and Adonis were members of the Hit Row stable during their WWE tenure. Swerve Strickland, a current AEW star, and B-Fab Briana Brandy were also in the group. WWE released all four in November 2021, shortly after they were promoted from NXT to the main roster. According to the report, Francis has not been working on the A&E TV show WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures. During the first season, Francis hosted the reality show.

Shinsuke Nakamura

Gunther will protect the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura on Friday’s SmackDown. Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah will compete in a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament match against Shotzi and Xia Li. In addition, the episode will feature a contract signing between SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan and Shayna Baszler.

Liv Morgan, the SmackDown Women’s Champion, revealed how the WWE locker room has responded since Vince McMahon’s retirement. As previously stated, the former WWE CEO announced his departure on Friday, July 22nd, following alleged misconduct. There have been many backstage responses to Vince McMahon’s retirement and also his backstage behaviour since the news came.

Morgan revealed to the Mirror that everyone was surprised but excited to operate with Stephanie and Nick Khan. As previously stated, it was announced on Monday that Paul Levesque would take over all creative duties for WWE. We were all taken aback. And it was unexpected. But Vince is responsible for so much of our success. So if he thought it was time, it was time. We’re also looking forward to collaborating with Stephanie & Nick.
