Megan Thee Stallion Says Her Next Album is Finished

For her followers, Megan Thee Stallion has some exciting news. The Houston rapper said that her follow-up to 2020’s Good News has been finished and will be available for fan consumption soon.
The 27-year-old stated on her Instagram Stories that it is her most open piece of work to yet.

“So happy abt my album,” she wrote. “it’s finished. it’s for the hotties. it’s honest. it’s me. it’s real.” She also hinted to a collaboration with fellow Houstonian artist Sauce Walka in another Story slide. She typed “Ya spill me” next to the rapper’s handle. The song “Pressurelicious,” which features Future and is supposed to be on the album, was released less than a week prior to the posting.

Megan’s fame has only increased since that time. Meg Thee Stallion won Best New Artist at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, marking the first time a female rapper won since Lauryn Hill in 1999.

In November 2020, Megan Thee Stallion released Good News, her self-titled first album, which featured songs by DaBaby, City Girls, Lil Durk, SZA, Popcaan, Mustard, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Young Thug, and Beyoncé. Her collaboration with Beyoncé, “Savage (Remix),” reached at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 while the project peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

Megan Thee Stallion was included in Time magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential persons in the world the year after that. She recently fulfilled a commitment she made to her late mother by receiving a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Texas Southern University. The passing of her mother in March 2019 served as a significant motivator for her to finish her degree.
