Martin Scorsese & Leonardo DiCaprio is reuniting once again for a film and the audience can’t wait to see the duo back!
It’s not the first time that Leonardo & Martin have worked together, they have teamed up previously for films like Shutter Island, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, and The Wolf of the Wall Street. Now they are back with another movie for Apple.
The name of the movie is “The Wager” at Apple. The film will be based on David Grann’s upcoming fiction book which is titled “The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny & Murder”. Grann’s other works include Killers of the Flower Moon, The Old Man & The Gun, The White Darkness, The Devil, and Sherlock Holmes and others.
The executive producer of the film is Richard Pleper, who will produce the film under the Banner of Eden Productions. The producers of the film are Dan Friedkin & Bradley Thomas (Imperative Entertainment), Leonardo Di Caprio, Martin Scorsese (Sikelia Productions), and Jennifer Davidson (Appian Way Productions).
The Leonardo & Martin team-up had given several big hits in Hollywood. This would be the seventh movie for them as the sixth movie is already confirmed to be coming up in the year 2023. The film will be based on the book by David Grann only named ” Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI”. Although the film is said to be delayed until 2023.
About The Wager
The story of the film takes place in the 1740s when a shoddy boat carrying 30 men who are malnourished arrives on the Brazilian coast. The British ship was behind chasing a Spanish Vessel but it couldn’t and crashes upon an Island in South America’s Patagonia region the men were the survivors of that ship. They become heroes because they survive the seas and Weather.
After six months another vessel shows up at the cost of Chile with Three sailors who claim that the people of the first boat were mutineers, the boat was more battered looking than the first.
The British Admiralty sets up a special trial to learn about the truth of what happened actually as accusations and denials were flying. The trial revealed a tale of a captain and a crew who were not only fighting to survive in one of the world’s most hostile climates but also their own human natures.
