She also talked about how they are planning to move ahead without Chadwick Boseman. The late actor passed away unexpectedly last August at just 43 years of age. He was secretly battling colon cancer which he never publicly revealed. The Black Panther star had been fighting cancer for four years.

The host, Michael Stahan said he had to ask about the upcoming sequel, Black Panther 2. Lupita hesitated before answering as she said she cannot reveal much. She said, “You know, in true Marvel form, I have nothing to tell you.”

The actress shared that it is going to be different without their king but she knew that all of them are dedicated to carrying on his legacy. She said, “It’s going to be different, of course, without our king (Chadwick Boseman), to go back into that world, but I know that all of us are dedicated to reimagining or carrying on his legacy in this new Black Panther.”

Lupita further shared as she mentioned writer-director, Ryan Coogler has some really exciting ideas. She said she is looking forward to bringing it to life with the rest of the Black Panther family. The actress played the role of Nakia who was the former lover of T’Challa. She was also an undercover spy for Wakanda known as the War Dogs.
