Loki Was Never Considered To Appear In Thor: Love & Thunder, Reveals Writer

“I assure you, brother, the sun will shine on us again” but guess it never did. Because after the events of Avengers Endgame Loki & Thor never met.

Fans wished that Loki may have a cameo in the latest film of Thor: Love & Thunder, but he never did. According to Thor, Loki is dead (keeping in mind the events of Endgame) but he isn’t aware that his brother’s other version still exists.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the writers explained whether they even consider Loki or not for the Thor film. The writer Jennifer Kaytin Robinson says,” Never on the table from what I understand. He’s in Loki-Land. He’s doing his own things. They are on two separate journeys.”

Loki as we know already has a series that is based on where Loki disappears after stealing the tesseract in Endgame. Also at Comic-Con, we got the announcement of Season 2 coming real soon. You can check out the season 2 set photos, here.

In a conversation with Empire, Tom Hiddleston has already spoken about the dynamics of two brothers in films and their future, he says ” We talked about the Thor movies as a film saga, and the diametric opposition between Thor & Loki and duality and antagonism being a book that perhaps should remain closed for the moment.”

Further, he adds, ” We have explored about as much as we can about these two brothers.”

Loki’s Easter Egg In Thor: Love & Thunder

Fans were wishing for Loki to have a cameo with Natalie Portman in the end credit scene of Thor: Love & Thunder, when Natalie Portman sacrifices herself and lands in Valhalla, the legendary land where Gods are sent to after they die. But as above the writers have already answered the question as to why Loki wasn’t there in the credit scene, it was a fair enough decision.

Loki’s storyline has already entered a completely different path, as now he is dealing with He Who Remains. But there was a small easter egg of Loki in Thor: Love & Thunder which you may have noticed.

Here’s the easter egg photo.

When Thor goes to meet Zeus on Mount Olympus and when he asked him to take the stage to speak about his problem. Later on, Zeus flicks Thor’s clothes we can see a tattoo on his back. The headgear of Loki was made on his back with RIP Loki written. Another tattoo on his back was also a tribute to the heroes who sacrificed themselves to save the world. The names were Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, Heimdall, Loki, mother “Frigga” and father “Odin”.
