Lisa of BLACKPINK Breaks Adele’s 7-Year-Old World Record

Even after more than a year since the release of her solo debut project Lalisa, Lisa keeps setting new records with it every day. In September of last year, Lisa released her first single album, which contained just two tracks.

Two songs may not have been enough for her fans, who had been waiting for her solo music for years, but they were more than enough for the rapper to make her mark on the industry with her solo debut.

In the first 24 hours after its release, Lisa’s lead single, Lalisa, had more than 73 million views on YouTube, making it the most-watched music video by a solo artist.

It was Lisa’s first top-ten single and chart entry when the song debuted at number two on the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts. “Lalisa” had its American debut at position 84 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Her album, which only has two songs, recently broke the record for most streamed Spotify album by a K-pop soloist. In addition, Money, the album’s B-side, surpassed all other K-pop soloist songs in Spotify streaming. Fans are anticipating what Lisa will bring to the table with her next solo release because she accomplished all that with just her first two tracks.

Lisa also broke another impressive record recently, when she became the fastest K-pop act to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify. In addition, the song, “Lalisa” recently became the first song to spend an entire year charting on The Billboard Hot Trending Songs Chart.

In its most recent achievement the song Lalisa has achieved 103 #1’s on iTunes. With this, Lisa has broken Adele’s world record with her song Hello, that she held for seven long years. Lisa now becomes the female artist with a song with the most #1’s in iTunes history.
