Lisa Kudrow has revealed that there was a heartwarming moment between Matt LeBlanc and Courteney Cox when they got together for the Friends Reunion special.
Friends cast had come together for their one special after 17 years and had an almost two-hour-long reunion. The special was jam-packed with fantastic as well as controversial points that have been making headlines even after a week after it aired.
The cast including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc came together for the first time since the finale in 2004. It featured some of the most iconic moments from the Friends series as the case recalled those scenes together. For instance, Ross and Rachel’s chemistry was very real.
However, there were also moments that fans did not appreciate like the decision to have James Cordon as host and inviting Justin Bieber. But some of the moments shared by the cast might have gone unnoticed by fans. One such moment as per Lisa was between Courteney and Matt. She said she and David noticed it when they watched the show back.
The actress shared, “Well, Courteney comes in and burst into tears. And I grab a napkin or a tissue. LeBlanc takes it because he is telling us a story and doesn’t want to skip a beat and starts dabbing her eyes, just on automatic.” She described the bond that the cast shares as she proudly said that’s who they are.
Aniston Receives Backlash
Jennifer had previously commented about Courteney not being a tearful person but labelled the reunion as a “sucker punch to the heart”. “It was for all of us, I think,” she told Gayle King on her SiriusXM show. The actress further shared how even Courteney got into tears and she didn’t even know because she is not that emotional.
Jennifer admitted the cast was excited about the reunion and had “romanticised it”. Even she faced backlash from fans when she shared an unseen snap from behind the scenes. She was posting back-to-back snaps from the reunion which premiered on HBO Max. The latest series of photos included one with Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey.
Fans had divided opinions about the same as many questioned why was he there. While some of his fans stood up for him, many questioned why they were invited.
