Linda McMahon Overlooks Vince’s Retirement & Allegations

One person who remained silent throughout the entire process that saw Vince McMahon come under investigation for payoffs made in relation to covering up alleged scandals, and may have contributed to his recent resignation, was his wife, Linda McMahon. McMahon, on the other hand, has finally broken her silence on the subject, at least from one perspective. McMahon was directly asked about the allegations and his retirement from WWE at an event for the America First Policy Institute. The video was later captured and shared on Twitter.

McMahon stated, I’m not going to talk about Vince and WWE. I’m here to discuss AFPI. When pressed by the reporter, McMahon gave a brief response about just how Vince will handle retirement. So, what do you think? McMahon explained that he’ll just be deciding how he’ll spend his free time. I think that’s a wonderful thing. A third issue, about accusation hush money payouts, was completely dismissed by McMahon.

According to reports, this confrontation occurred at the AFPI Summit in Atlanta, GA, which was headlined by former US President Donald Trump, who was returning to Washington for the first time since being defeated in the 2020 election. McMahon’s aversion to the subject is understandable given the speculation surrounding the couple’s marriage in 2022. Vince was responsible for sparking the speculation when he referred to Linda as my wife in an interview with Pat McAfee in March, though he quickly corrected himself.

Vince and Linda

Following the accusations, while Vince and Linda remain married, they have indeed been separated for an unspecified period of time. Whereas Vince McMahon has showed up publicly since the investigation started, was reportedly defiant about the investigation backstage at WWE events, and issued several statements following his retirement, as of this writing, there has been no official statement from McMahon addressing the investigation or allegations against him.

Former WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon abruptly resigned after 40 years as the company’s top executive. McMahon’s retirement was not without controversy, as he is currently being investigated for several non-disclosure agreements he supposedly made with former female WWE employe to incidents of sexual misconduct. Over the course of 16 years, more than $12 million in hush money was paid out, according to the investigation.

Despite these accusations, numerous people that have worked with McMahon in the past and recently have paid their respects to the 76-year-old former CEO, and also that list presently includes UFC President Dana White, who made a comment on McMahon’s retirement during a post-fight press conference just after Dana White Nominee Series.
