Letitia Wright Says Thought Of Filming Black Panther Without Chadwick Boseman Is “Strange”
Letitia Wright reveals that she will miss Chadwick Boseman like the rest of us on the set of Black Panther. She also reflected on how it would feel like without the late actor.
The actress who considers Chadwick her “brother” is still heartbroken from the loss. She revealed how she feels it is too soon to be talking about the future of the Black Panther series.
After the heart-wrenching death of Chadwick in August because of stage IV colon cancer, the actress thinks it is too soon to discuss further plans. She revealed still mourning for Chadwick. The actress said it is not something she wants to think about.
Letitia explained, “The thought of doing it without him is kinda strange. We’re just grieving at the moment, so it’s trying to find the light in the midst of it.” She did not reveal how the iconic MCU franchise is going to incorporate the absence of King T’Challa.
The actress is not keen on discussing the sequel because of where the film stands at the moment without Chadwick. Disney was still trying to figure out how to proceed further with the hit Marvel franchise after the loss of the superhero.
One potential aspect is replacing the actor, which seems nearly impossible to do. They also fear that doing that would spark an immense backlash from fans. Another potential aspect, which fans also agree with, is that Shuri, played by Letitia, should become the next Black Panther.
The Future Of Black Panther Remains Unknown
Letitia had shared a heartfelt letter that she wrote in remembrance of the iconic actor and her on-screen brother. She wrote, “God told me that you were my brother and that I am to love you as such, and I always did, and I always will.”

Various celebrities paid their respects to the actor and attended the private memorial, including Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, and more co-stars. Many of them also penned heartfelt letters.
Black Panther 2 was set to release in 2022, before Chadwick’s death. Letitia has taken on wonderful roles herself and by the time fans are waiting for an update from Marvel, they can switch to watching the actress’s projects.
She is starring in Agatha Christie blockbuster Death on the Nile, Steve McQueen’s Small Axe, and the upcoming thriller Silent Twins. The actress revealed her desire to show black girls in a different and positive light.
The actress also discussed her love life and turns out she does not have the same kind of storm that she has been for the Hollywood industry. When John Boyega asked her about why she is single, she said it is a waste of her time. She said, “I was like, ‘John man, it’s a waste of my time! Like date for what? Do you date?’ He replied, ‘Tish, man, of course, I date! I need to scout my wife!'”
