“Left and Right” By BTS Jungkook Surpasses “How You Like That” By BLACKPINK In New Achievement

In the world of K-pop, BTS Jungkook has been making waves with his solo releases, and his latest achievement is no exception. According to recent reports, his hit song “Left and Right” has now surpassed “How You Like That” by BLACKPINK as the 5th longest charting song on Global Spotify by a Korean artist.

Released in June 2022, “Left and Right” is a collaboration with American singer-songwriter and producer Charlie Puth. The upbeat pop song has catchy lyrics that focus on memories of a past love and how one can become consumed by thoughts of that former relationship. The music video for the song shows Puth and Jungkook visiting a therapist’s office for help with their lovesickness.

This achievement adds to the list of records broken by Jungkook as a solo artist. In 2022, he released three songs: “Stay Alive,” “Left and Right,” and “Dreamers.” “Stay Alive” is a slow-tempo pop ballad produced by BTS-bandmate Suga, which charted at number one in Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. It earned Jungkook his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 as a soloist, at number 95, and on the Global 200 at number 13. The song is also the first Korean soundtrack in history to debut on the Official Singles Chart in the United Kingdom.

“Dreamers” is another of Jungkook’s solo releases, part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup official soundtrack. The song was released in November 2022 to coincide with the first match of the tournament and its opening ceremony.

Jungkook‘s solo releases have shown his versatility as an artist, and fans have eagerly embraced his solo work. The 25-year-old singer is expected to make his solo debut this year.
